(Chicago, IL) Coronavirus vaccination rates continue their slow but steady increase across the state. Illinois Health officials say over 13.8-million doses of the three vaccine types have been administered, with 6.7-million residents, or 52.7% of the population considered fully vaccinated. That percentage grows to nearly 59% when taking into consideration just those 12-plus that are eligible to get the shot. In Lake County, nearly 790-thousand doses have been administered, with 388-thousand people, or 55.4% of the population considered fully vaccinated. Lake is one of the most vaccinated counties in the Chicago area, behind only DuPage and suburban Cook County.
