Subpoenaed Documents Turned Over in Melodie Gliniewicz Case

(Waukegan, IL)  Documents subpoenaed as part of the case involving a late Fox Lake police officer and his widow, have been turned over. The defense for Melodie Gliniewicz wanted the documents relating to former Fox Lake administrator Anne Marrin. Marrin, who is expected to be a key witness, was the person who reportedly discovered the embezzlement that led to Lt. Joe Gliniewicz’ staged suicide back in 2015. His widow has been charged with helping him funnel the money from a youth policing program into their pockets. The defense wanted the documents to see if alleged misconduct was the reason Marrin left her post. Prosecutors say those allegations would likely have nothing to do with the Gliniewicz case. Melodie Gliniewicz is expected to go on trial later this month.
