The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees for 2020 have been announced. 16 nominees in total and for once they have stuck to mainstream candidates… mostly.
Eligibility requires you to have released a single or album by the end of 1994. The final class of six or seven acts will be announced in January. The induction ceremony will take place in Cleveland on May 2nd.
First-time nominations go to Pat Benatar, the Dave Matthews Band, the Doobie Brothers, Motörhead, the Notorious B.I.G., Soundgarden, T.Rex, Thin Lizzy, and Whitney Houston.
Previously, they have all been eligible except for Biggie. This is his first time being eligible.
