“Proud Boys” Connection Not Allowed in Rittenhouse Trial

MADISON, Wis. (AP)  A Kenosha County judge says prosecutors cannot argue that a teen who shot three people, killing two, during last summer’s protests and riots is linked to the Proud Boys. Kyle Rittenhouse faces multiple charges, including murder, in the August 2020 shootings in Kenosha. Prosecutors asked the Judge if they could argue that the former Antioch resident’s beliefs align with the Proud Boys and he traveled to the protests because the group advocates violence against Black Lives Matter supporters. The judge ruled that there was no evidence Rittenhouse was affiliated with the group on the night of the shootings.
