No Verdict in Rittenhouse Case, Arrests Outside of Courthouse, Mistrial Requested by Defense

(Kenosha, WI)  A 2nd day of jury deliberations have concluded without a verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. While the jury was behind closed doors Wednesday, the defense asked the judge to declare a mistrial, saying they received an inferior copy of a key video from prosecutors. Prosecutors countered that the jury saw the highest-quality version of the video during the trial. Judge Bruce Schroeder did not immediately rule on the mistrial request. Meanwhile, Kenosha Police say a 20-year-old male and 34-year-old female were arrested outside the courthouse. Officials say while making those arrests, several officers needed to be deployed to keep crowds of citizens and media from interfering.
