Man Gets 55-Years for Gunning Down McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy

(Rockford, IL) A Springfield man will spend the next half century in prison, after his conviction for shooting and killing a McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy. Floyd Brown was accused of gunning down Deputy Jacob Keltner in March of 2019. Keltner was part of a US Marshal’s task force attempting to arrest Brown, who was found guilty on multiple charges earlier this year including 2nd degree murder. On Monday, the 43-year-old was hit by a Rockford federal judge with 55 years in prison.
