Long Grove Man Arrested in Armed Robbery Case

(Long Grove, IL)  A Long Grove man has been charged, an accomplice is being sought after an armed robbery incident. A Buffalo Grove man told Lake County Sheriff’s officials that he went to a walking path near his residence to smoke cannabis with some acquaintances…but the pair he met with brandished a knife and gun and robbed him of his belongings before he was able to flee on foot. Officials identified one suspect as 18-year-old Justin Sutherland, who was arrested at his home. Investigators say they found the knife and gun used in the attack…the gun being a realistic looking BB gun. The identity of the other attacker is unknown at this point, but he is also said to be a teen. Sutherland faces charges of armed and aggravated robbery. He’s free on bond, and no future court dates have been set.
