(Waukegan, IL) Monday saw the 2nd lowest amount of new Coronavirus cases in September for Lake County. Illinois Health officials say the county added 103 new cases with no fatalities. Hospital admissions in the Lake and McHenry County area, known as region 9, have only increased by one total bed since September 4th, and sit at 138. Statewide, new hospital admissions have been slowly falling since the same day, with overall hospitalizations essentially flat over the last 3 days. As of Monday, nearly 61% of people 12 and older in Illinois are considered fully vaccinated.
