(Springfield, IL) Another Illinois lawmaker has taken Governor JB Pritzker to court over the extension of his stay at home order. Western Illinois State Rep. John Cabello says the extension will result in massive damage to Illinois businesses, and is already leading to a massive drop in jobs. On Monday, a Judge ruled in favor of State Rep. Darren Bailey, who called the extension unconstitutional. Governor Pritzker says the cases are being appealed, and has chalked them up to “political stunts.” Meanwhile, some lawmakers say it’s time to get back to Springfield to work on a glut of issues the state is facing, from the economy, to ethics, to regular state business.

(Chicago, IL) Governor JB Pritzker says family is “off limits” during his Coronavirus briefings. The Governor made the statement after a reporter referenced an article from Patch.com, that claimed his wife, MK Pritzker, and his daughter have been spending time traveling to the couple’s 12-million-dollar estate in Florida. As part of his stay at home order, the Governor asked state residents to not engage in non-essential travel. When asked about his wife’s travels, Pritzker refused to answer the question. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was called out earlier in the month when she had a private beautician come to give her a haircut…a profession that has been deemed non-essential.
