(Lindenhurst, IL) A Lake County man accused of killing his girlfriend, then dying in a head on collision, has finally been identified. Winnebago County officials say 25-year-old Kevin Williams was killed last week Monday in a head-on crash in Rockton that also killed a 53-year-old man. Williams was said to be the main suspect in the death of Kelly Hedmark of Algonquin. The 25-year-old’s body was discovered last Tuesday in Williams’ Lindenhurst home. Investigators are working on a murder-suicide theory that Williams beat Headmark to death, then intentionally caused the fatal crash in Rockton. Officials say that they are still looking into the matter, but that their investigation is almost complete.
