(Chicago, IL) Illinois’ indoor mask mandate has ended in most public places. Last week the Illinois Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal from Governor JB Pritzker, essentially ending his fight on keeping school kid’s masked. The Governor has previously stated that the indoor mandate would end today, because of a rapid drop in Covid-19 metrics that started in mid-January. Face coverings will still be required in hospitals, and other medical facilities…and continuing federal requirements means masking will continue on airplanes, and other transportation under federal jurisdiction.
