Illinois Gas Prices Remain Highest in Midwest, 9th Highest in Country

(Chicago, IL) Gas prices continue to fall, though Illinois remains 37-cents above the national average. AAA says the average gallon of gas in the state runs $4.09, which is down 15-cents from last week, but remains the 9th highest average in the country. Lake County saw a 20-cent drop to $4.07.  In Wisconsin, the average gallon of gas fell 24-cents from last week to $3.50. That number is 22-cents below the national average. Kenosha County comes in at an even lower $3.44. AAA says a drop in demand for gasoline has led to lower prices at the pump.
