(Chicago, IL) Illinois continues to have the highest gas prices east of the Rocky Mountains, and the 11th highest prices in the United States. AAA says the average gallon of gas in the state currently sits at $3.38, 23-cents higher than the national average. Lake County’s average comes in one penny higher. In Wisconsin, the average price sits at $3 a gallon, 15-cents below the national average. Kenosha County currently sits a bit higher than $3.05.
