(Chicago, IL) Illinois is still relatively new to the sports gambling world, but the state did well when it came to the “big game.” The Illinois Gaming Board said gamblers wagered nearly $61 million on Sunday’s Super Bowl, a 33% increase from last year…which was the first year legal wagering was allowed in the state. Sportsbooks were said to collect over 9.5-million of that. Nevada saw the biggest amount of “on the record” gambling, with over 180-million dollars in bets.
