Former Antioch Resident Arrested for Abusing Children

(Antioch, IL)  Police in Antioch have announced the arrest of a former resident for his alleged abuse of several children. Jose Mondragon was arrested at a Zion area campsite on outstanding warrants. Police officials say the alleged offenses took place over a several year span between 2008 and 2017. The 47-year-old was said to be homeless when he was taken into custody. He now faces five class X felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, as well as three felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Bond has been set at 1-million-dollars with a court date of August 23rd.
