(Waukegan, IL)  A Lake County Judge has ordered the village of Fox Lake to turn over documents related to a former administrator, in relation to the Melodie Gliniewicz case. Gliniewicz is facing charges for allegedly helping her husband, former Fox Lake Police Lt. Joe Gliniewicz, embezzle money from a youth program before his suicide in 2015. The documents in question involve former administrator Anne Marrin, who reportedly discovered the financial records that broke the case open. Marrin was dismissed in 2021, and the defense wants to know if misconduct played a role. Prosecutors say even if it did, the alleged misconduct likely had nothing to do with the Gliniewicz case. She is expected to be a key witness at trial, which is scheduled to start on February 22nd.
