(Chicago, IL) While some health officials have sounded the alarm about the latest variant of the Coronavirus, the numbers remain relatively low. Illinois Health officials say despite a bump in cases last Friday, those numbers have fallen significantly as we entered this week. Hospitalizations across Illinois, while up, remain 66-hundred beds below the high set during the last major wave…while ICU beds are under the peak by 11-hundred. Daily death numbers are also very low with a current 7-day average of 6…a near record low for the pandemic.
