(Chicago, IL) Covid-19 metrics continue to plummet across Illinois. Health officials say statewide Covid-related hospitalizations fell below 2-thousand over the weekend, and have fallen over 55-hundred since the peak on January 12th…there were also 807 fewer Covid ICU patients in that same time frame. In the Lake and McHenry County Region, hospitalizations have fallen 276 since the high that was set on January 15th. ICU capacity has also increased. 7-day averages for cases sit at their lowest rate since November 30th, and Sunday’s 8 fatalities statewide were the lowest since November 29th.
