Covid-19 Decline in Illinois Continues at Rapid Pace

(Chicago, IL)  The decline of the latest wave of Covid-19 in Illinois continues. Illinois Health officials say statewide hospitalizations have fallen by over 35-hundred since the January 12 high, and ICU capacity is trending upward. The state also recorded it’s lowest number of daily cases since Mid-December on Monday, and the lowest amount of deaths in a month. In the Lake and McHenry County region hospitalizations have fallen by 142 since a January 15th high…ICU numbers sit just below the 20% threshold…and the area’s positivity rate has plummeted by 11-percentage points since January 21.
