MILWAUKEE (AP) The family of a man fatally shot during last summer’s protests and riots in Kenosha, has filed a federal civil lawsuit. The lawsuit, filed by the family of Anthony Huber, alleges that local law enforcement facilitated the attacks that led to shootings reportedly committed by Kyle Rittenhouse, who is charged with murder. Huber was in Kenosha on August 25th of 2020, during the demonstrations over the Jacob Blake police shooting. Rittenhouse is accused of traveling from his home in Antioch, where he joined others who answered a call from local militia to protect businesses from protesters…that’s when the shootings took place that left two dead, including Huber, and one person seriously hurt. Rittenhouse’s trial is expected to begin on November 1st.
